At AF Bostäder we have a dream - that all Lund students will have the best possible student housing.
Our concrete goal is to build 1250 new student housing units by 2021 and already we have completed detailed plans that can accommodate 1800 students. We build new ones on their own and form living areas where students are a key ingredient. Together with the AF family we have the skills required and are ready to continue developing Lund as Sweden's best student city.
Many more student housing units are needed in Sweden. Equally important as the number is that student housing is good. A good student residence is not the same as a cheap and poorly equipped apartment. Students will have a home environment that will help them achieve maximum for a few years at the university. They need comfortable housing with services and services tailored to student life. And the monthly cost may not be higher than a student can accommodate based on the study material.
AF Bostäder will continue to develop it property portfolio in order to provide more student housing. Construction under our own management is the right way to go – it generates increased knowledge, better housing and city districts that are sustainable in the long term. AF Bostäder has an ambitious and balanced expansion goal. Going forward, there will be one new construction start per year
