Clogged drain
Does the water drain slowly in the wash basin, kitchen sink or shower? If so, you need to to clear the drain!
Clogged washbasin or kitchen sink
The trap is a white "ball" located under the washbasin/kitchen sink.
- Put a pail under the trap and leave it there until you are finished.
- Unscrew the "cup" at the bottom of the trap.
- Clean the cup.
- Remove waste that has lodged in the trap.
- Flush the drain with hot water.
- Replace the cup and screw it on firmly.
Clogged shower drain
The procedure is different if you have a drain with a barrel or a cast iron drain.
Drain with barrel
- Remove the strainer where the water drains.
- Pull out the drain barrel.
- Clean the barrel (inside and out).
- Clean the drain.
- Replace the barrel. Push it down firmly to avoid unpleasant odors.
- Fill the barrel with water.
- Replace the strainer and, if there is one, the plastic pipe to the bathtub.
Cast-iron drain
- Remove the strainer where the water drains.
- Clean the inside.
- Flush with a strong jet of water.
- Replace the strainer.
If the drain is still clogged, please submit a fault report on Your pages.
Clogged toilet
If the toilet becomes completely clogged and the water level does not go down at all, submit a fault report immediately!
If the water level does go down, but very slowly, you can do the following:
- Fill a pail with hot water.
- Quickly pour the entire contents of the pail into the toilet.
- Repeat if the water level still goes down slowly.
