Mental health problems are common. They can be hereditary, but may also be due to factors such as stress, financial worries, or grief.

Signs of mental health problems

  • Dejection
  • Worry
  • Loneliness
  • Sleep disorders
  • Eating disorders
  • Heavy consumption, dependency or hazardous use involving alcohol, narcotics or gambling
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Psychosis and delusions
  • Suicidal thoughts

If you or someone close to you experiences any of the above – do not wait. Seek help as soon as you can. Below you will find good contact channels where you can get help and more information.

Suicide Prevention Hotline, operated by Mind

The Suicide Hotline, run by Mind, is for those who have thoughts about taking their own life or have someone close to them who has such thoughts. You can remain anonymous. Mind’s website also provides information about mental health problems.
