At the moment, we're in the process of reviewing the academic results of our tenants, known as study control. We regularly verify the tenants' academic performance, to ensure that they carry out active studies in accordance with the Housing list and rental conditions.

Despite rising costs and continued uncertainty about the future, the rent increase for AF Bostäder’s tenants will remain at 3% from 1 January 2025.

From October 2024, Monika Frank takes on the role of Communications and Sustainability Manager at AF Bostäder. Monika is well-acquainted with both the organisation and student life in Lund, and she brings over 20 years of experience in areas such as communication, rental services, and customer service at AF Bostäder. Now joining the management team, she shares her insights on what this new role entails.

AF Bostäder's mission is to provide housing for active students at Lund University, and we follow up on this every semester. We also conduct regular controls to ensure that the accommodation is used correctly and to prevent any unauthorized sub-letting.

Our SMS service provider, SMS Teknik, recently experienced a data breach. For a few minutes, parts of their SMS traffic were copied by an external party for extortion purposes. SMS Teknik has thoroughly investigated the incident and concluded that only 100 out of a total of 70 million sent SMS messages were copied. However, it is not possible to determine exactly which messages were affected.

Lund's most Lund-style marathon race is finally back! On Saturday 14 September, 300 students will run or walk from Marathon, along a distance of approximately 5 km, and back to Marathon for the finish line.

Last season's team sports series was a success, and now we're back with an outdoor football series! The series, which is arranged by AF Bostäder and LUGI Motion, has room for 6 teams. The first 6 teams to sign up get a place.

With just a few days left until the autumn admissions announcements, Lund's three largest student housing providers have released a joint report indicating that the housing situation for new students is significantly better than many have previously believed.

Today, the letter of acceptance have been sent out, and we would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted! The housing queue is now open for novisch students, meaning new students at Lund University for the autumn semester of 2024. We have reserved approximately 900 student accommodations for you.

The allocation of queue times for new students at Lund University, novisch students, in autumn 2024 has now been completed, and the rental of novisch accommodations has started. If you participated in the novisch lottery, you can find your assigned queue time (date and time) on Your Pages.

From 1 January 2024, it is mandatory to collect and recycle all cooking fat. There are now good opportunities for students to sort their cooking fat at all of AF Bostäder’s housing areas, from kitchens to waste stations.

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED! On the 28th of April, AF Bostäder is organizing a hiking excursion to Frostavallen in Höör, in collaboration with LUGI motion. All residents of AF Bostäder can sign up for the excursion - completely free of charge. It will be a fantastic day in the Swedish nature with fellow students.

Following Region Skåne’s policy decision to move the University Hospital in Lund to Smörlyckan, AF Bostäder has acquired the main hospital building, Blocket (The Block), and is establishing Therapeftikos, providing 1 300 student housing units equipped with modern facilities. Students can look forward to an underground infrastructure and an air service.
