Lund’s own Marathon
What a great location! Marathon is situated right in the heart of the Science Road, at the corner of Tornavägen and Tunavägen – close to both the university campus and central Lund. Here, you live within immediate reach of places like the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) and Lund University School of Economics and Management. The area is known for its densification and variation and is designed so that everyone gets as much daylight as possible. The area is car-free, which contributes to a safe and pleasant living environment focused on walking and cycling.
In total, Marathon offers 256 apartments with various layouts, divided between one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, and providing space for 390 students. The one-bedroom apartments are best for those who want to live on their own, the two-bedroom apartments are equally suitable for a couple or friends and the three-bed apartments are perfect for 2–3 friends who want to live together. The bedrooms in apartments for friends have space for both a bed and study station.
The Marathon area also includes the well-known Torvlabbet, a building designed by architect Klas Anshelm that has a high architectural value. Today, Torvlabbet houses a laundry room, lounge and bicycle repair room.
Marathon is a vibrant place with a focus on cycling, movement and social life. You’ll be living with views over Lund’s student community and have easy access to everything – whether you get around by bike or on foot. Just a stone’s throw away is Sparta, an important hub for many students, offering a grocery store, gym and pizzeria. And just a short ride away, all of Lund’s city life awaits.
The rent includes electricity, hot water, detergent, a designated place in the cycle rack, and internet bandwidth of 1 GB. There is no TV outlet. The apartment includes either a storage room or extra storage space within the apartment.
At AF Bostäder you live in a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited both in the accommodation and shared spaces such as stairwells and laundry rooms.
