New IT functions enable better customer service

Thanks to two new IT functions, it has become easier to book pre-move-out inspections and simpler to see how many apartments and rooms are available for new students at the start of semesters.

AF Bostäder has made the process for pre-move-out inspections more efficient by introducing a new booking function. Customers can now book an inspection directly via the website. The service synchronises the customers’ requests with the caretakers’ calendars, proposes available times and then keeps track of all parts of the inspection process, such as the protocol, visual material and key returns. The function reduces the amount of manual work involved and saves time for both customers and caretakers.

At the start of each semester, AF Bostäder give precedence to new students, whose home is outside Skåne. On admission, a large number of queue times are assigned to new students. During the subsequent rental period, the students want to know how many apartments and rooms are left and the queue time of the student who got the last one, in order to assess their chances of getting accommodation. For this reason, AF Bostäder has developed a new counter regarding new students, which keeps track of the number of vacant and rented out apartments and rooms for new students and counts down so that students can follow the available number of vacant apartments and rooms for new students in real time.
