Window replacement at Sparta
AF Bostäder will carry out a window replacement project at Sparta 39 D during April and May 2024. The new windows are more energy-efficient and will improve the indoor climate for the students. Schedule
The window replacement will take place from April 8 to May 17, 2024. The work will be done corridor by corridor and is estimated to take approximately one week per corridor.
Scope
- The spring window replacement will take place on Tunavägen 39 D 1201-1426.
- All windows in the corridor rooms and the shared corridor kitchen will be replaced.
- As part of the window replacement, we will also carry out PCB and asbestos remediation.
Temporary relocation
Since the work is extensive and may cause some inconvenience for the tenants, they will need to temporarily move out during the project. For five days (from Sunday to Friday), affected tenants will be accommodated at the University Guest House at Sparta. We will inform the affected tenants well in advance before the work begins to facilitate their planning and address any questions they may have.
Disruptions
Certain work activities may be noisy, especially at the beginning of the week. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding the temporary inconveniences this may cause and assure you that we are working to minimize disruptions as much as possible.
Project background
Sparta was built in the 1970s, which means the windows are now over 50 years old. Recently, we have received complaints from the students regarding the indoor climate and drafts from the windows. To address these issues and improve the quality of living, we will install new windows. The new windows are energy-efficient and will result in significant energy savings, while improving the indoor climate and reducing drafts.
