Our queue times

Here you can see the shortest queue times by housing type (corridor rooms and one-to four-room apartments) for the approximately 3,500 student homes we rented out during 2025.

We rent out around 3,500 homes each year. Of these, 1,200 are corridor rooms and one-room-apartments reserved with priority for new students who live outside Skåne. a system known as novisch priority. You can read more about our novisch priority here.

The queue time for other student housing depends on several factors, mainly the applicant’s own preferences. Applicants with similar wishes to many others, such as a specific apartment size and floor level in a certain housing area, may need to wait longer. Fewer preferences generally mean a shorter queue time. In general, queue times are shortest at the end of the semester, when demand is lower and more homes become available.

Below, we provide an overview of the shortest queue times based on our 2025 statistics. Please note that these figures are not a guarantee for when you might receive a housing offer. Specific preferences often result in longer queue times, but don’t give up! We have Sweden’s most satisfied student tenants, and even if you need to compromise on your preferences, chances are good that you’ll enjoy your new student home. Good luck with your housing search!

The figures below are based on data from 2025 and may vary from year to year.

About the charts

The horizontal bar chart shows the shortest waiting time in months for each housing area. The pie chart shows the proportion of available homes with a waiting time of 0–6, 6–12, 12–24 and over 24 months.

Corridor rooms

In addition to the many corridor rooms let to new students each year, we have just over 700 that are let without new student priority. For most of these (98%), a waiting time of less than six months is sufficient. This means there is a good chance of getting a corridor room already in your first semester in Lund, even without new student priority. Corridor rooms at Magasinet and Tomegapsgården require a longer waiting time, as there are fewer rooms and demand is higher.
