Cosy living and culture at the heart of it all
Aspegrenska, renovated in 2026, is our smallest and perhaps cosiest student housing building. Here, you’ll live right in the heart of Sweden’s best student life, next door to AF-borgen and just a stone’s throw from Lundagård. Aspegrenska is considered Lund’s first modern student residence. The building has a rich history, with roots in Lund’s student life dating back to the 19th century, and is part of the city’s historic cultural quarter.
The building, completed in 1947 and designed by architect Hans Westman, a pioneer of functionalist architecture, is recognisable by its beautiful red brick façade with a grid pattern of white marble. Its cultural heritage and period features, including colours, lighting, radiators and light switches, have been carefully preserved or recreated.
Aspegrenska contains nine modern, functional student apartments: eight shared apartments for two friends who want to live together, and one one-room apartment for those who prefer to live on their own. The apartments are spread across three floors, with room for a total of 17 students. The interiors are thoughtfully designed, with some bespoke fitted furnishings.
From Aspegrenska, you’re just as close to the university’s departments and libraries as you are to Lund Central Station, student nations, gyms, cafés, restaurants, entertainment and world-famous attractions such as Lund Cathedral and the Botanical Garden.
Electricity, cold water, laundry detergent, storage space, your own covered bicycle parking space and 1 Gbps internet are included in the rent. There are no TV sockets. Hot water is not included in the rent and is charged separately based on individual metering and billing (IMD).
At AF Bostäder, you always live in a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in apartments, communal areas, stairwells and laundry rooms.
Floor plans
Please note that the floor layouts show herringbone parquet flooring, but the apartments will have wooden plank flooring.
