This year's gingerbread house competition has concluded, and we are delighted to unveil the winners! Congratulations to Delphi 55 D 1407–1412 and their creation, "AFpollo 13", securing the first prize!

The allocation of queue times for new students at Lund University, novisch students, in spring 2024 has now been completed, and the rental of novisch accommodations has started. If you participated in the novisch lottery, you can find your assigned queue time (date and time) on Your Pages.

Today, the letter of acceptance have been sent out, and we would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted! The housing queue is now open for novisch students, meaning new students at Lund University for the spring semester of 2024. We have reserved approximately 250 student accommodations for you.

We know that baking and decorating are happening in many of our corridors. There's probably a gingerbread house or two being built as well. Take the opportunity to compete for an ICA gift card by showcasing your corridor's gingerbread house.

Despite ongoing high inflation and significantly rising costs, the rent increase for AF Bostäder's current tenants will be approximately 3% from January 1, 2024. The new rent has been made possible through continued reprioritization in ongoing operations. However, uncertainty about the future persists, which may necessitate higher increases next year.

Now that Halloween is over, so is the corridor competition “Scariest Picture”. Thanks for all the spooky submissions you sent in! However, the spookiest of them all was the image above, created by the students at Magistratsvägen 55 B 1201–1212. Their winning picture truly sent shivers down our spines...

As the autumn weather approaches and the darkness gains power over the light, it's time to do something fun that lights up our daily lives! Collect the corridor and create the scariest picture you can! Get help from as many people as you can in the corridor and create a picture. Play with lights and colors, props and costumes. You have free rein to create a terrifying and scary picture. What's the scariest thing you can come up with?

Dust off, polish up, clear out, spruce up, make a find, or earn a dime! By popular demand from the students, it’s finally time for AF Bostäder's flea market! It's the perfect opportunity if you want to get rid of old stuff and maybe find new favorites. 

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED! Last season's team sports series was a success, and now we're back with an outdoor football series! The series, which is arranged by AF Bostäder and LUGI Motion, has room for 6 teams. The first 6 teams to sign up get a place.

At Kämnärsrätten, AF Bostäder is spearheading one of Sweden's most significant endeavors in creating long-term sustainable student accommodations. On August 29, 2023, Pireus, the fourth out of six quarters, will be inaugurated, offering an inviting space for both socializing and solitude. All within a living environment so healthy and eco-friendly that it has been awarded the Nordic Swan eco-label.

Lund's most Lund-style marathon race is finally back! On Saturday 16 September, 300 students will run or walk from Marathon, along a distance of approximately 5 km, and back to Marathon for the finish line.

The new Lund students, known as novisch students, received their letter of acceptance last week. Over 2500 of them have now joined AF Bostäder's housing queue for novisch students, which grants priority access to approximately 900 student accommodations.

This year it is 40 years since AF Bostäder – Lund students’ own housing company – was formed. We will celebrate and highlight this in many different ways during the year. And we hope you will join us!

AF Bostäder is proud to have won "Nöjd Studbo 2023" in the category Live with over 2000 student housing. The survey is conducted by Origo Group and gives students the opportunity to express their opinion about their housing and landlord. This year's CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) score of 76 is an improvement compared to the previous year, placing us at the top in the category of large student housing companies.

At last! Many of you have asked us for good and eco-friendly cleaning tips. In cooperation with Ellinor Sirén, known for her Instagram account, “Ekotipset” (Eco-hacks), we have produced a special edition of her popular book “Städa hållbart med Ekotipset” (Clean Sustainably with Eco-hacks).

A student paradise in the best location – that is how AF Bostäder describes Lund’s beloved student housing area, Sparta. Now that AF Bostäder is to build on the last remaining plot in the ongoing expansion project at Kämnärsrätten, the company has decided to copy Bengt Edman’s masterpiece and construct a new Sparta – in miniature.

April 30th in Lund is associated with traditions, celebrations and festive spirit but unfortunately also with large and unsafe arrangements in the Parentesen housing area. Now AF Bostäder, in consultation with the police and the emergency services, has chosen to secure the area for a calm and secure April 30th.

In November 2022, Mats Olsson became the new Property Manager at AF Bostäder. Mats has almost 15 years of experience in sustainable property management here at AF Bostäder, and has full control of what is needed to take care of properties, housing and outdoor environments so that the tenants feel comfortable. We let Mats answer a few quick questions.

AF Bostäder has received the award "The most bicycle-friendly medium-sized workplace in 2022" by Cykelvänligast, because they make it easier and more fun for employees to choose the bicycle to, from, and at work.
